Point N Shoot

Point N Shoot

Long Description:

Sharpen your reflexes and hand-eye coordination with Point-N-Shoot. Play this addictive game where the objective is to aim and time your shots perfectly. The closer the shots are to the bulls eye, the greater the score. You must also shoot as many clay pigeons as possible. There are four competitions in which you can test your shooting prowess: Archery, Rifle Range, 25mm Pistol, and Clay Pigeon.

Controls:

In Point-N-Shoot, players are participants in a shooting event in which their marksmanship is tested in four contests: Archery, Rifle Range, 25mm Pistol and Clay Pigeon. The objective is to time and estimate where weapons are pointed so that shots are placed as near to the bulls eye as possible. Moving targets add complexity to the game. The nearer the shot is to the bulls eye, the higher the score. Timing is further tested in the Clay Pigeon event where the player must shoot as may balls as he can. Archery: In this contest, use up, down, left, and right keys to control the direction by which you want to shoot the arrow. The strength of the shot is indicated by the meter on the upper right hand portion of the screen. The player is given 10 shafts. Rifle Range: Targets move horizontally. Players must shoot when the target stops briefly. The area the rifle is pointing to is indicated by a meter on the upper right hand portion of the screen. Players are given 10 shots. 25mm Pistol: Targets randomly move up, down, left and right. Players must time their shots when the gun sight is properly aimed on the target. 10 shots are given to the player. Clay Pigeon: Players use a rifle to shoot balls launched in the air. Participants may adjust their aim with the aid of an indicator on the bottom left hand portion of the screen. Players are given 15 chances to hit as many balls as possible. what is j2me?

The first edition for the Java platform was Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE), which supported the development of desktop applications. The fundamental idea was to provide a language which supported platform-independent code.

Shortly after, a new edition was released, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), providing support for large-scale, enterprise-wide applications.

As we enter the post-PC era, the market for network-connected consumer devices - such as smart mobile phones, televisions, VCRs and PDAs - is expected to grow at a phenomenal rate. In order to provide a compelling Java technology solution for these devices, Sun has introduced the latest addition to the Java platform: Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME).

Within J2ME, there are two broad categories, known as configurations. Connected Device Configuration (CDC) is a set of APIs to support fixed devices such as a television set-top box. Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) is a set of APIs targeted at devices that have limited processing power, display and memory. The majority of these devices will also be mobile.

On top of configurations are profiles. Profiles provide APIs for user interface design, network support, and persistent storage. The Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) is a set of Java APIs which, together with the CLDC, provides a complete J2ME application runtime environment targeted at mobile devices, such as mobile phones, pagers and entry level PDAs.
